The sunshine has finally hit us here in Vancouver with 23 degrees consistently throughout the whole week lately, and what better way to quench your thirst than with cocktails?!
Our bar menu has extended into beer cocktails, a tasty twist that will accommodate and appeal to beer lovers but also for those who enjoy a refreshing cocktail! Beer cocktails are one of the most versatile summer drinks out there because they’re diverse enough (from fruit-based beers to sour varieties to malts) to mix with both savory and sweet ingredients and are a perfect way to spice up your cocktail hour!
Ahead we’ve broken down one of our favourite beer cocktails for you to try out:
BULLS EYE (serves 1)
0.5 oz Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
1 oz Simple Syrup
IPA or Ruby Ale
Mint and Lime Wheels for garnish
This is a take on a Moscow Mule but without the vodka! The ginger beer and lime juice would cut out the strong bite of the IPA or Ruby Ale though both beers have citrus notes and will compliment the lime and ginger very well.
1. Pour freshly squeezed lime juice and simple syrup into glass
2. Add ice to fill up glass
3. Pour your favourite choice of IPA or Ruby Ale to fill up half the glass
4. Top off with ginger beer for that extra bite!
5. Garnish with mint and lime wheel
